LANfest 2017

LANfest 2017 was held on Friday, March 17th 2017 from 9am – 10pm. 2017 was our largest LANfest to date, with over 520 guests in attendance. As a result of some very unfortunate PC issues, many of our PC tournaments were extremely delayed, leading to our first (and last) LANfest17.5 separate event, where the overdue Overwatch and CS:GO tournaments were held. Due the success of LANfest 2017, we were able to donate $8,200 to the Arnold Palmer Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in our hometown of Orlando, Florida.  LANfest 2017 was the first year we expanded to the 2nd floor for a total of 26 gaming rooms. We also re-branded the loaner program into the “Hero Program” and moved all food & drinks and Rock Band into the Café. 2017 was the first year we began reaching out to the rest of Seminole County High and Middle schools. Our outreach efforts were supported by the founding of the LANfest Ambassadors program, as well as the newly founded Social Media Manager positions.
